Dúchas and Our School 

In 1938-1939 the Folklore Commission invited primary schools all over the country to gather the stories, folklore and pisreogs from their relations and neighbours. The collected copies were transported to Dublin and became a time capsule, capturing the traditions, beliefs and cures of the time. The collection was digitized some years ago - Shraigh National School took full part in the collection, with all 28 entries being submitted as Gaeilge.
